Blazin' 92.3 and RoycEvents were invited to a private screening of the new movie Sparkle in Atlanta, GA. We showed up got a few interviews and got to watch as fans of Whitney Houston were excited to see her one last time on the big screen. But although the movie was great everything didn't run as smoothly as planned (the life in entertainment). We didn't get word of the invite until around 11am on Wednesday and the premiere was later that day at 7, we got a late start on leaving to make it to Atlanta and some of the fans that showed up for the private screening were unable to get in because the screening was at capacity. (But you know how we do, we made it work) I felt bad for those that showed up and were unable to get in, they look disappointed, but one young lady told me hey it's okay I was coming back to see it opening night anyway. Well we took our seats and enjoyed the movie and there are some scenes that are sure to make you laugh and some that will surely bring a tear to your eye. To see Whitney Houston definitely brought a tear to my eye, especially when she song Eyes on the Sparrow. Whitney song that song from her heart and everybody in the movie could feel it, giving the late Whitney Houston a round of applause at the end of that scene. I don't want to go in to a lot of details about the movie and spoil for everyone so all I can say is make sure you got out and see the movie. Support the late Whitney Houston and Ms. Jordin Sparks who did an outstanding job as Sparkle.
Sparkle hit theaters today.
