Daily Scripture: Out of This World

So many people get so caught up in trying to seek and gain treasures, happiness and peace from within the world we live in.  They begin to go against their character and morals chasing these items.  But what they fail to realize is that they are seeking these things in the wrong place.  We must continue to hold on and remember that the true treasures, happiness and peace we all long for can only come from one place, and that is from our Heavenly Father.  The peace we need, the strength we need, the happiness we all long for cannot be given to us from within the world we live in.  God provides us with His peace that helps us to sustain the world we live in that can be so hard, sad, and sometimes down right horrible.  But the good news is that the God we serve provides us with all we need, gives us peace to make it through those hard times and lets us know that we do not have to be worried, troubled or afraid because He will provide all we need.  The joy, happiness and peace that we all long for the world can’t give it to us and the world can’t take it away.  Rest easy and live in the peace given to all of us and know that the treasures, happiness and peace we all have is not like that in which the world tries to provide.  The treasures, happiness, love, joy and peace we have are out of this world!!!!

25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Daily Scripture: No Eye Has Seen

People will try to talk you out of you hopes, dreams, aspirations and the vision you have for your life.  They will question you, ‘how are you going to accomplish that?’ or ‘what makes you think that you’re capable of accomplishing that?’ and so on and so on.  They will make you question yourself and even try to plant their dream for you in your head.  But what Gad has for you is for you.  Nobody knows what God is calling you to be and whatever God has planned for your life it will come to pass.  God will equip you with everything you need to accomplish His will for your life while encouraging you and loving you every step of the way.  Don’t get defeated when people try to down play your vision, as a matter of fact don’t share your vision with everybody.  God will ensure that the vision HE has for you will become reality.  Nobody can see, hear or conceive what God has planned for you and your life.  Keep pushing and know that nobody can keep you from what God has destined for your life!

However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[a]
    the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
~1 Corinthians 2:9-12

Daily Scripture: Don't Worry

We get so caught up in what’s going on around us that we constantly worry about what’s to come.  We worry about finances and how we’re going to pay this, that, and the third, we worry about what we’re going to wear, we worry about what we’re going to eat, we even worry about what other people think about us or if we will have enough time to accomplish everything we need to accomplish.  But simply put, we all need to STOP WORRYING.  When we worry it does not fix the situation, it does not bring about the solution we are looking for.  All it does is bring about more stress and anxiety.  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? (Matthew 6:27) We have to seek God for the solution to all of our problems.  There’s no need in worrying because God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).  God will supply everything we need and bring about the solutions to all of our problems.  Don’t worry about what’s to come, focus on the her and now and know that God is in your present and is already in your future working everything out on your behalf.

27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
~Matthew 6:27-34

Daily Scripture: Spirit of Power

God did not bring us into the world, bring us into existence with a purpose for our lives for us to live everyday timid and fearful of what's to come.  God has given us all a spirit of power.  Power to overcome every obstacle in life, power to accomplish everything within His will, power to walk in the midst of our enemies without being touched, power to speak life into a dead situation, and the power to be all that He has called us to be. With the power God has given it allows us to make it through every situation and spread love, the same love, that God has given us.  Hold on to the power God has given you and don’t let anyone or anything try to strip you of that power.  Remain disciplined, don’t let anyone take you out of your character because God has given you that power to overcome everything and everyone.  Hold on and know that the power you have is given to you by God, so stay strong and walk and live every day with the power God has given to each of you.

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.
~2 Timothy 1:6-8

Daily Scripture: For Your Good

It’s so easy to see the negative in everything around us, especially when it seems like the downs outweigh the ups but we must remain positive and remember there is some good in the bad.  We all have purpose, a calling that will allow us to help expand the kingdom of God.  Everything we go through in life, even the bad, God will use for your good, to better us, strengthen us, and guide us in the direction He want us to go.  I know it’s hard to find comfort in the raging winds of life that are beating you down, but God is right there in the midst of the storm with you.  No matter what we go through in life, God is right there working everything out.  When the trials of life seem to be getting to you, when the attacks of the enemy seem to be winning, when it just seems like everything around you is crashing, be still and take comfort in know that because God is for you nothing or no one can be against you because God is working everything out for your good so that you can fulfill the purpose He predestine specifically for you!!!

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Daily Scripture: Greater Than Judgment

We live in a time where everything we do is judged.  We are judged by our skin tone, judged by the way we talk, judged by the way that we act.  It even comes down to us being judged by the type of picture, video or status we post on various social media sites.  If we are not careful the enemy will try to distract us with the judgment from others.  The enemy will try to get us to believe the judgments and the things others are saying about us to get us to forget what God says about us.  God says that we are beautiful, strong, loved, powerful, and the list goes on and on.  Everyday we must remind ourselves who we are and whose we are, remind ourselves that I am not what the enemy says about me, remind ourselves that God's love and mercy for us will always trump the judgment of others.  The enemy will try to bring you down, try to deflate your self-esteem, will judge everything about you to try to defeat you.  But continue to do you, live the life God has called you to live, and do not stoop to the enemy's level to pass judgment on them.  Know that God will elevate you in front of the enemy as His mercy triumph their judgment.

12 Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
~James 2:12-13

Daily Scripture: Abandon Me Not

They say you find out who your true friends are when you’re down to nothing, that those who aren’t truly your friend are there when everything is great but they abandon you once the going gets tough.  But I know of one TRUE friend that we all have that will not abandon us ever.  Regardless of what you are going through in life, whether you are at the top of the world or in the pits of the lowest valley, God will be right there with you.  Even when you turn your back on God, He waits patiently for us to return back to Him, to trust Him and obey Him so that He can fulfill everything He has promised for your life.  God is a loving God, a faithful God, and a friend like no other.  When you feel like you have no one, when you feel like some of the people you considered your fiend is now nowhere to be found and sometimes are out to destroy you, when it seems like you are in the valleys of life alone, remember you are not alone.  God is right there with you , will always be there with you and He will never abandon you!!!

30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey him. 31 For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.~Deuteronomy 4:30-31

Daily Scripture: Darkness Into Light

In life we will come across a lot of darkness.  Friends will betray you, you lose the ones you love the most, there's more bills than money, life sometimes just seemed to be filed with nothing but darkness but God will turn your darkness into light.  With you God you will be to get through those dark times.  God will allow you to overcome your enemies, God will allow you to find peace during those difficult emotional times, that wall in your life that you seem to not be able to go around, go under or go over, God will allow you to climb that wall when everyone thought you wouldn't be able to get around it.  God's way and God's will is prefect and what God has planned for your life will always prevail.  God will protect you, God will always love you, and God will guide your feet during those dark times.  With God in your life and God on the inside of you, it may seem like things will never get better but God will always be there and make a way for you.  Remember God is light and where there is light darkness cannot dwell.

28 You, Lord, keep my lamp burning;
    my God turns my darkness into light.
29 With your help I can advance against a troop;
    with my God I can scale a wall.
30 As for God, his way is perfect:
    The Lord’s word is flawless;
    he shields all who take refuge in him.
~Psalm 18:28-30

Daily Scripture: God's Presence

It's so easy to get bogged down by the weight of the world, to be anxious and restless about what's going on around you.  We have so many sleepless nights feeling alone and drowned in our circumstances.  But I'm here to tell you, you are not alone!  God continuously reminds us that He is always with us.  From the sun shining, to the birds chirping, to the wind blowing in our hair, God's presence is all around us.  Regardless of where we are in life or where we are headed, God will always be there and will go with us wherever we go.  Lean on God's teaching, trust Him to give you all you need to succeed and trust that you are always surrounded by His presence.  Whatever may be getting you down, place it in God's hands and He will give you the much needed rest you need and deserve.  Stop stressing, sleep easy, trust God and remember that you will forever and always be surrounded by God's presence, regardless of where you are right now or where you may be headed.
Smile and rest in God's Presence!!!

12 Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ 13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.”
14 The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
~Exodus 33:12-14

Daily Scripture: Given Authority

As a child of God you have authority over many things and one authority we seem to forget that we have is the authority to trample on the enemy.  The enemy will come at you in many different ways and if at first he doesn't succeed he will continue to try to bring you down.  But we must continue to trust in God and continue to believe in the Word that states the enemy will not prevail.  God will not let the enemy harm you, God will protect you and allow you to overcome all the power of the enemy.  It's time that we start walking in our authority and put the enemy is his place.  The enemy will not succeed, will not overcome you because you have a given authority from Heaven above.

18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
~Luke 10:18-20

Daily Scripture: In the Midst of Trouble

It sometime seems like we are constantly walking around in life in the midst of trouble or if we're not walking in the midst of trouble, trouble always seems to follow us or find us.  It seems that the enemy is constantly under attack and there is no way out.  Although we may be walking through the midst of trouble, God continues to save our lives each and every day from all of the trouble that comes our way.  Whenever it seems like you have more problems than solutions, more sadness than happiness, more negative than positive, call on the name of the Lord and know that He will answer and strengthen you.  It's so easy to give up but God will stretch His hand to save you and protect you from dangers seen and unseen.  Nothing will stop God from fulfilling His purpose for your life.  God loves each of us and He will never abandon us or the work He is doing within us.  So keep pushing, continue to walk in the midst of trouble with confidence knowing that God hears your cries, God loves you, and God WILL save you from the enemy and your troubles.

When I called, you answered me;
    you greatly emboldened me.
May all the kings of the earth praise you, Lord,
    when they hear what you have decreed.
May they sing of the ways of the Lord,
    for the glory of the Lord is great.
Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;
    though lofty, he sees them from afar.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
    you preserve my life.
You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes;
    with your right hand you save me.
The Lord will vindicate me;
    your love, Lord, endures forever
    do not abandon the works of your hands.

~Psalm 138:3-8

Daily Scripture: The Battle is Not Yours

With everything going on in our lives, the constant trials and battles we seem to have to fight, to sometimes gets hard to even want to face tomorrow.  But the good news is we can get up and face all our troubles, all our battles ahead of us with a smile on our face because someone will fight for us.  You do not have to fight the battle, as a matter of fact the battle is not yours to fight anyway.  Stand up, stand strong, hold on to your faith and watch as God fights the battle for you and deliver you from all your troubles right before your eyes.  Praise God during the battle, praise God even when you can't see your way out, praise God when everything seems to be crashing around you, praise God even when it looks like the battle is being lost, because God will defeat all your enemies and deliver you from all your troubles.  Have faith in God knowing that He will uphold you and make you successful.  Put down your fist and let God fight for you because the battle is not yours but the Lord's.

15 ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.
17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and seethe deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”...
20 Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful. 21 After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his[a] holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying:
“Give thanks to the Lord,
    for his love endures forever.”
22 As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.

Daily Scripture: An Abundant Life

We so often hear this scripture about how the enemy has come only to destroy and this is true, each day of our lives, the enemy is plotting and scheming of ways to attack us.  The enemy's sole purpose in life is try to get us away from God and destroy everything is his path.  The good news is there is a second part to that scripture!  Jesus came into the world to save us, to save us from the enemy, to save us from ourselves.  God sent Jesus into the world so that we would have life more abundantly.  Aren’t you glad that we have a friend in Jesus that He laid down his life for each of us so that we can have life to the fullest.  The enemy will try every day to bring us down but as long as we continue to trust in God, He will continue to lift us up.  While the enemy continues to try to destroy us, Jesus will continue, will forever and always, look out for each of us, will put us where He wants us to be, and lead us in the direction He wants us to go all while looking out and protecting us from the attacks of the enemy.  Be alert and stay focused on God because as long as you stay focused on Him the tricks and schemes of the enemy will not come to pass, the good Shepherd, Jesus, will protect you, and provide you with life of abundancy

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.
~John 10:10-15

Daily Scripture: Don't Look Back

It's the past for a reason.  We get so caught up in what happened, what somebody did to us, and a hold bunch of what ifs.  We cannot let our past hold us hostage.  Stop looking back, looking at what's behind you because you will miss out on the blessings before you if you're constantly looking back.  If you continuously look out of the rearview mirror instead of focusing on the road ahead you can up missing your turn or crashing.  Look forward and press toward what God has ahead for you.  When we move forward and stop looking behind us we will gain a prize that only God can supply.  Leave the past in the past and stay focused on what's to come before you.  Although right now we may not have all that god has promised to you, but keep looking forward towards the prize, thank Him along the way for what He's going to do, and don't look back!!!

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press ontoward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
~Philippians 3:12-14
